Raghav's POV
Why can’t Mom just let me sleep in for once? I swear, every time I finally get some rest, she’s there, poking me awake with another task. I stayed up till 6 AM—do you think I can tell her that? No, she’d just scold me. So, here I am, having my brunch, after dragging myself to the market twice to get the stupid mint she needed. Seriously, does she even remember that I was there already?
And while I’m eating, Mom drops another bomb on me—"Raghav, take all the gifts and clothes for your bhabhi and jiju to their house." Why me, Mom? I’m still the kid, aren’t I? Or does she think I’m the only responsible one in this house? Ugh, finally, I’m here at the Pandiths’ door, waiting for them to open.
And then I see her. The same captivating eyes. That cute, almost angelic face. When she smiles, it’s like the world stops for a second. She pretends she’s not nervous around me, but I can see it in her eyes. God, I just want to pull her close and kiss her senseless.
Her curves... No, no, no. Stop it, Raghav. She’s my bhabhi—soon to be. I shouldn’t be thinking about her like this. I have to control myself, keep it together.
She waves her hand in front of me, snapping me out of my trance. Wait—what? I zoned out again? That’s the third time I’ve done that in front of her. What must she think of me?
Oof, get it together, man.
Me: nervously “Hi, bhabhi, Mom sent the gifts here, please.”
Maithili: smiling “Yeah, come in first.”
Me: panicking “No, no, bhabhi. I have some important work. I’ll come another time.”
And just then, Varun jiju walks in.
Varun: teasing “Being shy doesn’t suit you, shut up and come inside.”
I walk in, and I swear, it’s like she’s all around me. Her presence. She smells so good, and her every movement is like a magnetic pull. She's so light, so graceful, so... cute.
No, Raghav. Focus.
I grab the juice as fast as I can, chug it down, and then get out of there. If I stay any longer, I’m not sure I’ll keep it together.
